Galentine Coasters - a quick and easy crochet pattern!

The Galentine Coaster was designed as a color match to the Galentine Mug Cozy made in January of this year. They were made as a part of the Birthday Book Box for a dear friend.


These are amazingly quick to make and add to pleasing textures for a coaster!

It is a play on my Granny-with-a-twist with texture added in with the slip stitch. This Coaster is quick to make and a fun gift/décor to use!
















As a reader, kicking back in a comfy nook with a cuppa hot chocolate is the best way to spend your day. So these just felt like the best handmades to add to a Book Lover's gift box!


The Coaster is a play on my Peek-a-boo Granny stitch coaster with Surface crochet to accentuate.

About Pattern: The Basic Coaster is a play of the Granny Square to give you strategically spaced pockets (eyelets) and the surface crochet stitch adds to the texture and highlight (if done with a contrasting colour).


COMPLETED SIZE:  The Galentine Coaster (Featured Green) measure 4*4 inches. Please note: The yarn and hook size, along with the crochet tension can make your projects size vary.





Materials:

● Yarn of choice - DK weight – approximately 60 yards for the basic coaster with about 10 yards of contrast colored yarn. I HAVE USED: DK Cotton from Yarnkart for the Coasters featured here with similar weight yarn in contrast for the accents.

● Crochet hook - preferred hook that works with chosen yarn. I HAVE USED: 4mm

● Stitch Markers (Optional), scissors and a needle to finish up.
